Dear Nicole K.,

First of all, I am very, very sorry. I'd been wanting to tell you, but then I was worried that if I told you via the Internet or phone it would be too...inhumane (?), so the only way to tell you was yesterday, which was also the day of my last ballet lesson. I know how sudden it must've been, me sitting down, turning to you, then saying "I'm quitting ballet." And I understand how you must've thought I was joking.

Also, I apologize for "dragging" you from DancePointe to Palais, then leaving you there. Please know that I've thought this through very seriously, and I really cannot find any passion in dancing anymore. There are also other reasons, but that's the main one :)

Secondly, thank you very much. We've known each other for almost..7, 8 years? Though I don't really remember the first time we met, I'm really glad we did, because if not for you, I'm sure I would not be as happy as I am now. I think that you are probably the ~~slowest~~ most innocent and naive girl I've ever met, thought these are the adjectives that make you so awesome. It's because of these traits that Tammie, Baoxin and I have laughed over so many times.

I still remember last year, when we went to Hong Kong for our dance exchange and you were my roommate. Although there were some...friction in the last few days, I am still really happy that I got to create so much memories with you, along with Tammie and Baoxin. I believe that when I look back on my dancing memories, the majority of it will be filled with the three of you, and for that, I am very glad that I chose to take up ballet.

I hope that you will continue to dance, because I know that you are far more talented in it than me. And please continue being that happy girl who laughs at almost everything :D

Omg. I'm feeling so down now.

Yes. I've chosen to stop taking ballet lessons. This is by far the most important decision I've made in my 13-year-old life, since ballet is the thing that takes up the most amount of time in my life (besides academics). I remember that I wanted to learn ballet when I was 4 because I wanted to be able to boast to people that I knew at least one artistic skill (yes, I was very...shameless back then). After 1 or 2 years at a random ballet school, my mother decided to transfer me to Crestar, and that's where I met Nicole K., Tammie and Bao Xin.

Though the memories are fuzzy, I remember having fun at the Jurong Point Crestar outlet, and I can still remember the various exams we had in that studio. After Ms F. resigned and opened up her own ballet school, we then joined her there, and I remember clearly the times we spent there.

I remember the times we rehearsed for my last concert under that ballet school. I remember training for exams. I remember watching the seniors dance through the window in the door, hoping that I would be as awesome as them. I remember "hanging out" with the Baby Ballet girls during one of our dance concerts.

I remember lots of things. And I hope I will never forget them.

Thank you, all of you, for making my life even more wonderful than it would've been if I hadn't decided to learn ballet.
