girl guides camp'09
Monday 30 November 2009 @ 16:16 Hai people. Finally back from camp. I didn't really want to post about camp but it's going to suck so much if I have to repeat the same story + feelings all over again in MSN 16 times, so... :D Day 1 Reached Camp Christine via bus, and briefing. Pitched our tent, made shoe + baggage rack, etc. I think we had tea. Or lunch. Or something. *asks Kellie* OH WE HAD LUNCH! Nasi lemak :D It was awesome, mainly because tent-pitching, shoe/baggage rack making is so tiring XDD And Kellie insisted that the egg looked like pizza (only because it was cut into a pizza-like triangle -.-) But omg, the rice was super nice, YOU COULD TASTE THE COCONUT MILK <3 Day 2 We somehow miraculously woke up at 5.10AM, despite not having any alarm clocks XD OH, I remember why. Because Stephanie's tent was talking really loudly. XDDD Stumbled to the toilet to brush teeth/wash up etc. And omg, the field was so muddy because it rained the previous day T^T We did Roll Call, and I was supposed to be in the Colour Party, but then Serena Ma'am changed the arrangement because I failed at it, I guess...? XDD After Roll Call we had breakfast. And guess what we had for breakfast? One whole loaf of bread, 4 different kind of spreads (butter + peanut butter + jam + kaya), Milo, and... BAKED BEANS AGAIN, OMG. I really felt like bashing my head against the wall. And we had to eat 1.2 cans of baked beans, I think. Or more :( So horrible. Then Steph's group couldn't finish their spread so I helped them to eat some since I know the feeling when you're so desperately praying that someone will come help and nobody comes D: Oh, and I ate a spoonful of Charmaine Ma'am's baked beans too. *shudder* Then I think we tidied up our tent or something, while the others cleaned the kerosene lamps. AND OMG, ABSEILING~ I was the second to go, Adreena went before me. And let me tell you, it looks very easy when you're on the ground, but when you're three storeys up with only a rope to save you if anything happens IT'S SCARY AS HELL. Then I started having a panic attack as I was about to all down the wall and I was hyperventilating. Oh god, so malu *facepalm* XD In the end I managed to walk down. But I am never trying that again. XDD After abseiling we had tea, then went for Challenge Valley >:D It was super cool I tell you! The swinging tyres were the most fun, I guess. The water slide was thrilling, but I couldn't help but think of the mudfish/tadpoles/frogs that Kellie said were living in the pond ._. After rinsing/changing clothes we had outdoor cooking, which I shall conveniently skip because it was so full of fail DX XDD Then we had Campfire~ Omg, so much fun. We were singing the songs and Kellie, Joyce and I didn't know some so we just sang rubbish. Which was still awesome. And then we revealed our Manitos (which is the Girl Guide version of Secret Santa) and it turns out that my Manito was Mrs M., omg. XDD And then when I pulled out Yvelyn Ma'am (because I was her Manito), she pulled out Kellie. :O IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL~ So um. Yeah. Basically that was it for campfire. We had a "bonding session" within our group that night, lots of fun and laughter :D Day 3 Woke up late for Orderlies duty >.< THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH :D Packed all our belongings and then we began to strike camp. Thanks to Uncle Gus we managed to finish earlier :D *fast-forward to when we reached school* Took photos and the fact that this would be our first and last GGC with Serena Ma'am hit me hard in the face D: Super sad, omg. Idk what we're going to do without her, since she's been the one supporting our group. And you know how difficult/stressful it was, since she was the only Sec 3 in our group, and she still had her ACL role. Crap, as I'm typing this I feel so sad because I miss the Crez Guides so much. I miss hearing the noise that we created while waiting for our meals. I miss singing Korean songs with Joyce and Kellie and making up random words for the words that we didn't know how to sing. I miss singing Christmas/CNY songs to annoy everyone. I miss gossiping about random stuff. I miss trying to stuff the food down our throats (actually, not really. XDD But I really liked how everyone tried their best to help our group polish the food off.) I miss saying the words "puke", "vomit", "die", "disgusting", "gross" and "oh my god." I miss hearing Kellie singing YS' solo part in LLT and going horribly off-tune. On purpose. I miss pointing out an insect and screaming, thus causing a chain reaction and making everyone else scream. I miss all the Crez Guides. I miss GGC'09, and it hasn't even been 24 hours yet. OK I SHALL STOP BEING SO DRAMA AND EMO NAO :D Some quotes that were spoken during camp, and I shall remember whenever I think of Girl Guide camps: (While trying to finish her papaya) "Mmm...wow this chocolate cake tastes great! Wow it's so creamy~" - Joyce (During 2nd day breakfast) "I can still feel the papaya in my stomach D:" - Kellie "BEANS ARE FARTABLE." - Kellie "So technically we're shovelling farts into our throats." - Me/Kellie/Joyce (I forgot who XD) "It's amazing how your mouth muscles don't get tired." - Stephanie Ohnoez, my memory is failing me, and I can't remember all the other fun parts of camp D: Shall edit this if I do. XD All in all, it was an awesome experience. And I'm suffering from GGC'09 Withdrawal Syndrome now D: (Actually I suffer from [enter event name here] Withdrawal Syndrome oftenly. XDD) Ok bye :D XDD |
